Q. What is the Founding 100 programme? A. The Founding 100 is for the first 100 drivers who reserve a Bingo E2. Founding drivers get: Bingo matches your KES 5,000 deposit, so KES 10,000 comes off the final purchase price of your car. One week of free charging. Priority access to vehicles. 90 days of direct access to the Bingo leadership team. Early access to new features. Bingo T-shirts and hats.
Q. How do I reserve my E2? A. Fill in the reservation form: https://forms.gle/xMoNJdReKg6Fw7F8A. Then pay the KES 5,000 reservation deposit by M-PESA.
Q. Do I need a reservation deposit? A. Yes. The reservation deposit is KES 5,000. Bingo matches it, so KES 10,000 comes off the final purchase price of your car.
Q. How do I pay my reservation deposit? A. Pay the KES 5,000 deposit by M-PESA: 1. Go to M-PESA on your phone. 2. Select Lipa na M-PESA > Paybill. 3. Enter Business No.: 880100. 4. Enter Account No.: 988911. This makes sure your payment goes to Bingo. 5. Enter Amount: 5,000. 6. Enter your M-PESA PIN and send.
Q. How do I know my payment went through? A. You will get an M-PESA confirmation SMS. Then we add you to the exclusive Founding 100 WhatsApp group.
Q. Will Bingo ever ask me to pay a different number? A. Never. Only pay to Paybill 880100, Account 988911. If anyone asks you to pay another number or account, do not pay. Contact us: jambo@drivebingo.com or WhatsApp +254 740 988 911.
Q. Is the reservation deposit refundable? A. Yes. Email jambo@drivebingo.com to request a refund. Your refund arrives within two days of asking.
Q. What happens to my deposit if I don't qualify for a loan? A. We return your reservation deposit.
Q. What happens after I reserve? A. We add you to our exclusive Founding 100 WhatsApp group. It is only for drivers who have paid the deposit. You get updates there first.
Q. Can I reserve more than one E2? A. Yes. Please contact us: jambo@drivebingo.com or WhatsApp +254 740 988 911.
Q. Will I spend less than I do on petrol? A. Yes. Driving an E2 costs about KES 5.75 per kilometre against roughly KES 12 for petrol, so drivers save around KES 1,800 a day. See the Savings section on our website for the full comparison.
Q. What does it cost to run? A. Running an E2 costs about KES 5.75 per kilometre on energy, and servicing costs around KES 20,000 a year. There is no fuel, no oil changes and far fewer moving parts to wear out than in a petrol car, so your daily costs are lower and more predictable.
Q. Can I use it for delivery apps like Uber Eats or Bolt Food? A. We are exploring urban delivery programmes to help drivers earn extra income.
Q. How much does the E2 cost? A. KES 1,800,000 for a car that is already here in Kenya, ready to drive away. Your reservation deposit counts towards this price.
Q. Can I pre-order an E2 and what is the discounted price? A. KES 1,560,000 if you order before your car is manufactured, which saves you KES 240,000. You pay in three parts: KES 700,000 when you place your order, KES 700,000 before your car ships, and KES 160,000 when your car arrives in Nairobi.
Q. Can I finance the purchase of an E2 over time? A. Yes. We are building programmes with Kenyan banking partners to finance vehicles on a path to ownership. Details will be announced as soon as they are finalised with our partners.
Q. Can I rent an E2? A. Yes. Bingo will offer a rental programme on a limited number of E2s that will give drivers an opportunity to try the E2. The goal will be to enable drivers to save enough money while renting to be able to afford the purchase of an E2.
Q. Can I trade in my petrol car? A. Yes. We are partnering with Peach Cars so you can trade in your petrol car, and apply any equity you have towards the purchase of an E2.
Q. Is the E2 already in Kenya? A. Yes. The first E2 is already in Nairobi. To see it, contact us: jambo@drivebingo.com or WhatsApp +254 740 988 911.
Q. Can I test drive the E2? A. Yes. Contact us to book a test drive: jambo@drivebingo.com or WhatsApp +254 740 988 911.
Q. Where can I see the E2? A. At our office at Delta40, 71 Church Road, Westlands, Nairobi. Contact us first to book a time.
Q. What is the Bingo E2? A. A dual-battery electric car built for ride-hail drivers in Nairobi. It has a 31 kWh fixed battery, and you can add swappable batteries for more range: up to 440 km in total. A battery swap takes under 5 minutes.
Q. Can I use it for ride-hailing? A. Yes. The Bingo E2 is purpose-built for ride-hailing in Nairobi.
Q. Can I drive for Bolt and Uber? A. Yes. The E2 is built for ride-hailing on Uber, Bolt, Little, Yego and more, and we're working with these platforms to get Bingo drivers the best terms.
Q. Is the E2 right-hand drive? A. Yes.
Q. How many passengers can it carry? A. 4 passengers including the driver.
Q. How far can it go? A. Up to 440 km with the fixed battery plus swappable batteries (about 310 km + 130 km), depending on traffic, load, driving style and battery charge. In city ride-hail driving, the range covers more than a full shift.
Q. How fast is it? A. Top speed is 90 km/h.
Q. Can it handle Nairobi rain, floods and potholes? A. Yes. The E2 has 250 mm of ground clearance, as high as an SUV. The fixed battery, swappable batteries, and motor are all IP67-rated, which means they are built to withstand water exposure and immersion, as well as dust.
Q. How durable is it? A. The E2 has a high-strength steel unibody with an integrated chassis. It has a dual suspension design featuring MacPherson struts, and the brakes and interior are built for 12+ hours a day on rough and unpaved roads.
Q. How much luggage space is there? A. The E2 has a boot for your passengers' bags, and the rear seats fold down when you need more room. You can also add a roof rack with weather protection for bigger loads, which makes the E2 just as useful for deliveries as for rides.
Q. Can I drive it outside Nairobi? A. Yes. Our first DC fast charging stations will be in Nairobi. For longer trips, swappable batteries work as range extenders.
Q. Does it have air conditioning? A. Yes.
Q. Can I charge my phone in the car? A. Yes, of course. The E2 has multiple USB charging ports conveniently located for both front and rear seat use.
Q. Does it have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay? A. Yes. The E2 has a large driver display and an infotainment screen with screen mirroring, plus Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Q. Does it have cameras? A. Yes. The E2 has five cameras: four outside and one inside. The four exterior cameras give you a 360-degree view around the car, so you can see everything when you park and manoeuvre, and they record automatically if an incident is detected. The interior camera faces the cabin and is there for your safety and your passengers'. If anything happens on a trip, there is a record of it.
Q. Where do I charge? A. Bingo is building a network of DC fast charging stations for drivers in Nairobi. Locations will be announced soon.
Q. What plug does it use? A. CCS2.
Q. How long does charging take? A. On Bingo's DC fast charger, 20% to 80% takes approximately 1 hour.
Q. How much does charging cost? A. Bingo is offering 3 different energy bundles designed to suit different driving needs: Bundle 1: up to 3,000 km per month Bundle 2: up to 6,000 km per month, plus 2 battery swaps Bundle 3: up to 7,500 km per month, plus 6 battery swaps and 2 car washes Finalized bundles and pricing to be confirmed at a later date.
Q. Can I charge my E2 at other DC fast chargers in Nairobi? A. No. Your E2 charges at Bingo DC fast chargers only. The E2 runs on a low-voltage battery system, while the public DC fast chargers in Nairobi are built for high-voltage cars. They cannot charge your E2, even where the plug looks the same. That is why we are building our own charging network across the city, and why your energy subscription covers it.
Q. Can I charge the E2 on normal AC power? A. Yes. The E2's fixed battery charges on ordinary AC power as well as on our DC fast chargers. AC charging is much slower, so it works best overnight at home or at your base, rather than as a quick top-up during your shift. A full charge on AC takes about 10 hours, compared with about 1 hour from 20% to 80% on a Bingo DC fast charger.
Q. How does the dual-battery system work? A. The E2 has two different battery systems. The 31 kWh fixed battery is the main power source and provides an estimated 310 km of real-world range and charges on DC fast chargers as well as AC chargers. The E2 also has a secondary (back-up) battery system made up of four swappable batteries which will extend the range by 130 km and can be exchanged at a Bingo swap station in under 5 minutes.
Q. Does the E2 come with swappable batteries? A. Your E2 comes with its 31 kWh fixed battery, which is what you drive on every day. The swappable batteries are separate: the car is built to take them, and you get them through a Bingo energy subscription. Choose a package that includes swaps and you can pick up swappable packs when you need extra range, or pay for a one-time swap at our battery swapping station.
Q. Can I swap batteries? A. Yes. Some energy subscription packages will include monthly battery swaps. You can also do one-time swaps at our station for an added fee. We will also have an emergency roadside programme that brings swappable batteries to you for a fee.
Q. Where are the swap stations? A. Swap stations are coming soon. Bingo builds, deploys and operates them.
Q. How long does a battery swap take? A. Under 5 minutes.
Q. What if I run out of charge on the road? A. We are building an emergency roadside assistance programme which will make swappable batteries available to drivers in need. An E2 is also able to charge another E2 if needed.
Q. How long does the battery last? A. The fixed battery is built for 800,000 km.
Q. What battery chemistry does it use? A. Fixed battery: LFP (lithium iron phosphate), with a long cycle life and high thermal stability. Swappable battery: NCM semi-solid state which is safer than conventional liquid lithium-ion, with higher energy density for a compact, quick-swap pack.
Q. Do I get training before I drive the E2? A. Yes. Every driver goes through an onboarding programme before they start driving the E2.
Q. Is the E2 insured? A. Bingo is partnering with insurance companies to give drivers access to the best-value insurance packages. These insurance options will be announced and available to select through the Bingo app.
Q. Is there a warranty? A. Yes. The warranty covers the powertrain, the vehicle and the battery. Bingo is the only EV whose warranty covers ride-hail use. Other EV warranties are typically voided or reduced by commercial use.
Q. How long is the warranty? A. The battery carries an 8-year, 400,000 km warranty. Warranty terms for the powertrain and other components will be announced before the next delivery of E2s arrives in Kenya.
Q. Who handles maintenance? A. The E2 comes with a warranty. We are building a preventative maintenance programme and partnerships for servicing and parts.
Q. Where is the service centre? A. We are partnering with reputable service and parts providers. We also plan to open an experience centre where your E2 can be serviced.
Q. How fast can I get spare parts? A. The E2 will be assembled in Kenya and we are committed to warehousing spare parts in Kenya before the vehicle goes on sale.
Q. What if my car breaks down on the road? A. Our emergency roadside programme will support you.
Q. How do I contact Bingo? A. Email jambo@drivebingo.com or WhatsApp +254 740 988 911. Office: Delta40, 71 Church Road, Westlands, Nairobi.
